Successful 92nd Birthday Lunch today for a grand old lady. She does love her Fish and Chips and has enjoyed them at Gina Marie's so that's where we went. She was definitely not disappointed but always is amazed at the size of the portions. This was the Lunch menu so there was only one fish filet but it was enormous [and delicious]. She opted for curly fries as she had never had them before. She even ended up taking some home. Waitress brought a New York cheesecake slice with strawberries and a candle and the kids at the table next to ours sang Happy Birthday.
I always look at the Specials board and saw the Portbello Mushroom and Shaved Roast Beef sandwich. Good choice! This was served on a grilled ciabatta roll with Swiss cheese, onions, spinach and a Dijon mayo. Delicious and so filling but I ate the whole thing with an order or real onion rings.
