Took a group to the Art Walk gallery upstairs in the Hartford Public Library. Wonderful quilts on display. We [8 of us] then took in an early lunch in the café. I had my usual which is a Curry Chicken Salad on Raisin Walnut bread. It is just about the best combo ever. An apple [I skipped the chips] was my extra for the meal. The iced coffee was strong and flavorful. One of the best things about this place [aside from the food and view] is the group of people working here. They got our line through with speed and care.

The Kitchen @HPL
Great lunch here today but had to sit inside; can't wait for spring! The Kitchen Café at the Hartford Public Library is the place to be. The three of us had plenty to eat but my Chicken Curry Sandwich on Cranberry Walnut bread was the very best of the bunch. The El Greco salad was huge and delicious while the Tuna Sandwich had a bit too much cilantro [?] for me. The Butternut Squash soup was delectable. We all shared and enjoyed.

Had coffee and a salted chocolate chip cookie at the new Kitchen at the Hartford Public Library. Looks good and the food looked real good also; sandwiches, soups, desserts.

Atticus Bookstore Café

We both had the Cuban Pork Sandwich [$8.95]: Pulled Pork Grilled Onions Chipotle Sauce, Black Beans and Cheddar Cheese Grilled on a Chabaso Brioche Bun and it was delicious and filling. Recession Special, Free Trade Coffee was $1. We finished by sharing one excellent Passionfruit Truffle [$2.50].
