The Simple Greek

After an old Dino Laurentis movie in Italian what's better than Greek take-out...doesn't make sense, does it? But that was the best option of the time. Went to the  The Simple Greek for some food to take home.

Order in five stages: 1. Base: Pita or Bowl 2. Traditional Gyro, Chicken Gyro, Grilled Steak or Grilled Chicken 3. Toppings 4. Sauce 5. Finishes...

I had the Traditional Gyro [lamb and beef] on a whole wheat pita with tomato, olives, onion with creamy garlic sauce and olive oil. Added an order of lemonis potatoes [$2.95] and three dolmades [$2.95].

Next time I will stay with the traditional gyro but have the regular pita with tsaziki sauce add feta cheese and scallions to my original. I'll skip the lemonis potatoes and add the Greek fries if very hungry as the pitas are really quite full and filling.

blognote: very near Trader Joe's in the Corbin Corners complex and you can also dine in
