Interesting lunch today at The Green Room Café a place that I have always wanted to visit. AND so I did with the help of a friend.
There is a cozy dining room larger than it looks from the outside. I was with someone who had eaten there before so 'knew the ropes'. Menu is varied and I ordered the Sampler: our House Salad w/ egg salad, tuna salad, and chicken salad [$14.00]. The salad part of the dish has many types of greens and some additions that are a bit surprising but delicious [banana+]. The egg salad was my favorite but the other two were good. We both started a cup of Soup of the Day which was Spring Pea and it was just the remedy for the piles of snow outside. Lovely!
Also shared a piece of one of the fabulous desserts, an almond cake which was superb.
