Surprise visit long story but happy ending! Had an early Fourth of July dinner at MAX Fish. Prix Fixe at $19.95 for three courses. Started with the Dzen Farms Blueberry Salad of arugula, Liuzzi Ricotta, almonds and a honey lemon dressing. Very nice and light. Guest had the Clam 'Chowda'.
Entrée was the Grilled Tavern Steak [perfectly medium rare] with fingerling potato salad, local beans and blue cheese butter. Had a glass of Max Cuvée Red blend [$12.50]. Guest had the Hot Shrimp Roll, CT style with shrimp butter, corn on the cob, coleslaw, toasted brioche roll.
For dessert we both had Pell Farm Strawberry Shortcake with macerated strawberries, house made whipped cream and coffee.
