Lake View Restaurant

Had a nice lunch today at the Lake View Restaurant in Coventry. Just the two of us for a fun time together, nice view and good food. One entrée of Shrimp Parmigiana [$10] with a nice marinara sauce and mozzarella over linguine. I had the Grilled Chicken Salad [$10] with the fresh grilled chicken in buffalo style [regular available] over greens, grape tomatoes, onion and [canned] black olives. I chose the Parmesan Peppercorn dressing. The cool dressing made a nice contrast to the spicy chicken.

I have eaten here at Lake View several times before in many of its lives. This one is the best. The large dining room [used to be the patio] is becoming a gathering place for couples and groups. The acoustics, however, are a bit harsh. The room being so large needs some softening: drapes, linens, pictures on the wall. Service is very good and my dining partner missed her usual server. When you remember your server by name [and miss him] you know the service is good.

blognote: Had an interesting 'garlic' conversation with our server on the way out. She is also topnotch and very personable.
