Gaudi and curry?

Saw the Gaudi documentary at Real Art Ways. Very interesting especially since we had just been in Barcelona a few weeks ago. The photography was superb but the film needed a little more narration. Full house at RAW; who were all those people?

Dinner at Thai Gardens on Main Street in Middletown [where else?]. Started with a SingThai beer and a pot of Spicy Seafood Soup. Whole bunch of entrees to share: Bangkok Delight [watch out for the kitchy named entrees] with seafood and pineapple, Pad Thai [deconstructed] always a sure bet, Masaman Curry with Chicken [instead of beef], Seafood Fried Rice, Black Olive Fried Rice with Cashews [always my favorite] and lots of White Rice. The five of us just about finished everything on the table, a nice variety of tastes.

Dessert back at my house. I served a Frasier Cake* which was 'layers of Almond Macaroons, Strawberries and a delicate Chantilly Cream'. It would have been even better if it had been served at room temperature. *Oops guess that shows the 'old family secret recipe' had been frozen, hmmmmm!
