After our not too successful dinner at Kainan, three of us headed to Mortensen's for ice cream.
During the summer, Mortensen's Restaurant on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, CT opens an ice cream 'shack' in Cromwell. It is right behind the Super Stop and Shop next to Cartelli's Car Wash.
I had a kiddie cup [$2 including tax] of Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. JD had Snicker's Bar and BD had the flavor of the week: Fresh Peach.
The winner: all of the fresh made ice cream [but chocolate rules!]
