Bar Bouchée

After a performance art presentation at an art gallery nearby, I was starved and this place always comes to my rescue. A beautiful day eating on the terrace was just the relaxation I needed. We both had the Lamb Shank which turned out to be the best ever. The baby potatoes and 'exotic' mushrooms sitting in the dark and sumptuous gravy held the lamb shank in all its glory. Can't say enough about this great meal. Campari and splash of Aperol and then a glass of Bordeaux were a complement to this meal. Ended with our favorite the Pavé Chocolate which is indescribable to say the least.

My second and very successful visit to Bar Bouchée since I have found it with another name in another location. It is also called Bar Bouchon as it is fashioned like the 'bar bouchon' in Lyon.

I started with an excellent Negroni [$11] with great bread and butter. For a starter we shared a luscious Beet Salad [$10.75].

We both ordered the Hangar Steak [$28.50] mine with frites and sauce bearnaise and hers medium with roasted shallot sauce and gratin Dauphinois. Both were superb. This was accompanied with a glass of Macon Pierre Burgundy [$11.75]

Dessert was a difficult choice with the Profiteroles coming in second as we chose the  Pavé chocolate, hazelnut-caramel crunch [$9.50] with a French press coffee.
