Crazy Chicken Grill

Had to check out this place because of its name: Crazy Chicken Grill. It is in a nondescript mall in a nondescript setting but surely NOT nondescript food. Just reviewed in today's Hartford Courant.

There were three of us and we started with a very hot basket of chips and mild salsa. Both the chips and the salsa needed a lot more salt. I knew there were Pupusas on the menu so had the one with the chicharones [$3]. The char on the outside of the wrapper was excellent. A plate of tostones [$3] and an ear of Elote [$3] rounded out the meal with a bottle of Pacífico to help it down. It did not need any help though as everything was quite good and very inexpensive.

They offer karaoke and DJ on different nights of the weekend and were getting ready for the crowd to come and celebrate Hallowe'en.
