Kibberia

Museum hopping and ended up at Kibberia in Westport. Had just read the review in the New York Times and decided to try it. The review was right on!

It is a rather nice cafeteria style eatery but not inexpensive. Started with a Sampler Platter [$7.99] which had two hummus [one regular and one spicy], tabbouleh and pita. They must have substituted for the Baba Ghanouj. All was good but the pita were a bit limp. Then we shared a Lamb Pita Pocket [$8.99] with a side order of Cucumber Yogurt salad [$3.79] with cucumber pieces too large to get soaked up into the yogurt. Their brewed iced tea was very good. For dessert we shared 3 pieces: pistachio and cashew baklava [$1.75 a piece] and a Chocolate Almond Finger [$2.50]. The baklava were quite dry with hardly any honey at all. The NYT review said they liked them that way but I don't. Finished with some lackluster coffee.
