Finally got to the 3rd Congregational Church's Strawberry Fest. It has been going on for years so got to try it out. The shortcakes [small $4.50, large $6] were very fresh and appetizing looking. They did not, however, have enough sweetening for me in either the berries or the whipped cream [real]. Lately I have found that I like a wetter shortcake with the juice saturating or at least softening up the biscuit.
