After a run through the Palais Royal and jumping on the checkerboard garden I ate a wonderful lunch at Carroll Sinclair's Table d'Hote du Palais Royal. The meal started with an amuse bouche of paté on toast. Then the entrée was a Salade du Foie Gras with a crushed walnut dressing. Following this for the plat was Saumon dans jus de crevettes [perfectly cooked and beautifully sauced] served with a Potato Galette and a mélange of vegetables: parsnips, celeriac, carrots and onions. Dessert was the usual Café Noisette.
