Max's Oyster Bar [CT]

Three of us had brunch today at Max's Oyster Bar in West Hartford Center before the last performance of Hartford Stage's 'Sheila's Day' at the Kingswood Oxford Theater.

One Maxarita [$8.75] and my Pinot Gris [$9] to start.

Three entrées from the brunch menu:

a 'Greek Brunch' [$15.95] which was a wrap and spanakopita combined but someone forgot the feta

a Crab Benedict [$15.95] with runny eggs just as ordered

and my Seared Scallop Waldorf Salad [$14.95] an excellent blend of field greens, gorgonzola, candied walnuts, granny smith apples and delicious scallops in a light vinaigrette

for dessert we split an order of Chocolate filled Beignets [$8] six to an order, rich and filling

and a double espresso, a cappucino and a café latte.

bloginfo: brunch and lunch menus available; lunch a lot more expensive
blognote: my selection was the winner even though I was hoping for the Hangtown Fry from my last visit
