Three Fellas Pizza & Market

New York pizza has arrived in Marlborough, CT!

'Why did you guys from Brooklyn open in Marlborough?' 'Because there was a rumor that there was no decent pizza here.' Well that rumor no longer exists; this is where it's at!

Newly opened [actually a soft opening] Three Fellas Pizza & Market located right in the center of town has some fantastic 'new york style' pizza and other goodies.

We ordered three thin crust pizzas: large cheese [$13.50], large pepperoni [$16] and a small white cheese [$10]. All were great.
I would order the white pizza again with the addition of extra garlic and one of the many extra toppings [probably eggplant].

They have a full selection of drinks, local cheeses, gourmet grocery items and snacks. I also picked up a package of Bonomi Sfogliatelle [$2.49]. Bagels delivered from the city; wait 'til tomorrow morn!

bloginfo: 4 East Hampton Road [located at the only traffic light in town!] Marlborough, CT 06447
telephone 467.4801/4802 AND they deliver [$15 minimum order]
blognote: My granddaughter wanted to know if she could marry the pizza!

I saw that this place opened, do they have a website? I should stop in and grab a take out menu next time I am in the neighborhood. The pizza available in Marlborough is dreadful. Village Pizza is overpriced and just plain bad. Marlborough Pizza is Greek style, which isn't my thing. Highland Park Market's pizza is the best in the area so we'll have to see if 3 Fellas can do better.

Hopefully 3 Fellas will advertise to keep their business IN business. I live in town and had no idea they were there until I drove by the storefront yesterday.

grooved pavement my friend you have it all wrong. a long time food critic and village green pizza by far is the best and they have that title hands down. As for marlborough pizza it has changed hands and taste thats it for them.they too are not a fav. if you are into italian then try rossinis in east hampton. this new place has been tried and let it suffice that that is as far as it goes . i will have to be desperate to order there again. it a novelty for now but will wear off. food awful and pricey . check your facts before you state falsehoods and retract you comment.

Grooved pavement lives in town? This town is so small, that's so exciting!

I can't believe the lack of planning on by the Three Fellas. I was hoping to post my review of the new shop, but my order was refused because they were out of dough! DOH! Well, back to Village Green; the best pizza I've had in my 50+ years, BTW...

lack of planning is the least of the problem. We tried it on Thursday. The pizza was dissappointing at 3 fellas.

but tried and true is tried and true. Village Green is it... just like you said "the best pizza".

Tried it on Friday night, 3/6/09. First, I tried to call from home but kept getting answering machine! So went in to order and was told about 35 minutes...went for a ride and came back...waited another 30 minutes. Got the margherita pizza, unfortunately, it was quite soggy. Crust didn't hold up to the fresh tomatoes, and mozz was a little stiff. I'm sure being in the weeds didn't help much so we'll give it another chance, maybe on a weeknight. I'm sure they'll work the kinks out, and it's nice to have another type of pizza in town besides Greek. It's no Spiritus (Provincetown) but it's good...it's PIZZA!

We loved the pizza here. Tried it for the first time on friday and it was really good! So glad we finally have a place that delivers in town! Yeah!

We tried it too...and it is as close to NY style we can find out here. BUT....it was pricey, and the sauce and cheese started way to far down...meaning like 2 inches of crust. that's just cheap in my opinion. So, not worth the price even if it is good.

I felt as If I was in Little Italy and 18th ave in brooklyn, This pizza is just amazing, they really did it with the market and delivery though. Now I won't have to travel all the way to hartford to buy products. There prices are very resonable and there pizzas are very large and tasty.

VERY LARGE???

It is a tiny large pie because it is paper thin, and light on sauce and cheese.
You definitely will need to buy multiple to feed a family.
Not large at all!!!

I haven't considered buying pizza in East Hampton or Marlborough for over 10 years. 3 Fellas changes that! They must have sourced some of their recipes from Chapin Stickler -- yes, they're THAT good! Chippp!!

We read the comments but decided to give Three Fella's a try chalking up their mistakes to being new. We were wrong. They have no idea what a NY pizza is except how to price it. We had two pizzas with the equivalent of 2 toppings and the bill was $42! When I went in to question the total, I was told "it is what it is". So much for customer service. The pizza's were small (how dare they call them LARGE!?) and the sauce/cheese started in 3" from the crust. With that said, my family is going back to Rossini's for bigger and better pizza. Prices are more reasonable there, too.

Yes they had a few glitches the first week or 2 as most new restaurants do but they have been worked out. The food is great. The pizza IS quite large and the toppings plentiful in spite of what others have said. It is NY style so its thin, that's the style, what do you want?
My family and I have had probably 15 pizzas there and they have all been great. I have had some great soup, burgers, onion rings, calamari and pasta there also.
Oh and they have some fantastic breakfast sandwiches and coffee in the morning.
The owners and everyone that works there is friendly and helpful. Based on the difference in my many experiences at Three Fellas and some of the other comments I have some serious questions about whether some of the "Anonymous" comments are from 1 person or friends and family of the owners of Village Pizza.

Anyway, I'm off for another stop a Three Fellas tonight.

While the pizza is pricey, it is damn good. Much much better than Village (I agree, terrible stuff). Thin crust (which is how I like it), quality ingredients. I stopped by for a breakfast sandwich over the weekend. Bacon, egg, cheese on hard roll. Fluffy egg, thick cut bacon. I am in love.

ok I am on this site only because a friend of mine also blogs about various things in the middlesex county area and he likes to read what people say. I have to laugh as did he. My name is Marissa and I LIVE in marlborough. I felt compelled as an ad exec to respond to attacks on any one or more businesses in the area. Bottom line if something is not good... it's not move on. in the ad world you try it ...if it does not work you move on!! Obviously this business has felt pressures of incompentencies. I tried the pizza and was not impressed but if youre hungry why not. it looks desperate when they single out other businesses. .A customer writing a review should stick to the business at hand.Kudos to those who have. no comparisons.write directly to the business or about IT. I go in pick up some little italian things I might need and that's it. should I knock down a market that does not have a particular item ...NO

I'm originally from the New Haven area and have lived in Marlborough for about 15 years. I grew up on Pepe's, Sally's, Modern and Grand Apizza depending on which one you could get into on a given night. I was disappointed when I moved here because neither Village Green nor Marlborough Pizza even came close to what I was accustomed to. Not to knock them though because if you happen to like Greek style pizza, which I don't, they are probably very good. They wouldn't have been around all those years if they weren't. We used to travel to First and Last tavern to get the thin-crust pizza, or all the way back to New Haven to get the really good stuff. The problem was we couldn't use them for parties or if we had company. I was delighted when Three Fellas came to town. Finally thin-crust New York style pizza! Three Fellas makes the best pizza I've had north of New Haven. I've also never experienced a problem with their service or delivery. They've always been prompt and friendly. So if you like NY-style pizza, Three Fellas is the place to get it in the Marlborough area.

Absolutely love it! Three Fellas is the best. Village Green is awful as is Marlborough (sorry). Take it from a native New Yorker, this is outstanding pizza!

I think people need to understand that there is a fundamental difference between Greek Pizza, and that of New York style pizza, which is what 3 Fellas has to offer. For reasons beyond my comprehension, Greek pizza is the most popular in the area, or at least the most available, and when people say they prefer it over NY pizza, I have to assess their mental capacity. This place is hands down the best quality pizza short of going to New Haven. What these folks have done with the place is commendable, and they should be rewarded with many years of business here in Marlborough!
