Good dining experience at glas last night. The menu says it features Modern American Cuisine.
Wheat Beer, 2 Malbec reds and a Margarita [followed by a Jindalee Chardonnay] and a basket of bread started us out.
4 entrees:
A Greek Salad [$8] with the Beef Short Ribs over Handmade Cavatelli with mushrooms and mushroom chips. [$24]
Pork Shank, Chicken-Fried Style, with Creamy Cheddar Grits and Pan Gravy [$20] with side of Sugar Snap Peas [$6]
Duck 'Steak' with Duck Confit Hash Browns and a Port Wine Reduction [$24]
and pour moi, Steak 'Bambo" a Hanging Tenderloin with a Potato/Malanga Lasagna and Mushroom Mojo [$25]
A couple of Espresso and a Cappucino later and the bill reduced by 2 CPTV cards came to $35 each including tip.
blognotes: Expensive but worth it. The service could stand a bit of refining. The room is fully glamorous with glass sculptures and interesting table settings. A place to revisit; maybe for lunch [the menu looks excellent].
bloginfo: This is the old Bamboleo at 2935 Main Street in Glastonbury. Reservations a must: 860.657.glas
