O'Rourke's Diner [a day early]

We celebrated some birthdays [one late, one on time] and St. Patrick's Day [early] today at O'Rourke's Diner on Main Street in Middletown.

Mofongoman had 'The Dubliner': an Omelette filled with Corned Beef Hash and Irish Cheddar with Fingerling Potatoes, some Sausage and Brown Bread slathered with Raspberry Preserves. BF [birthday girl] had Fish and Chips and GC had the 'Brian' Philly Cheese Sandwich. The Philly turned out to be great hunks of real steak.

All the Entrées were the winners. We skipped dessert [believe it or not!].

How crowded does O'Rourke's Diner get? I may be heading out that way sometime next week to give it a try.

Try 11 to 11:30 for lunch on weekdays [or earlier for breakfast]. Weekends get crazy with a line to get in. Seating is VERY limited. If you are alone, there is usually a place at the counter. It's worth the wait!

O'Rourkes is our favorite best breakfast spot in the area. Weekends are busy, but well worth the wait. Open for dinner Thur - Saturday as well. Yum!
