Here we go again! Took some members of my Dining Committee at CLC here for a team-building activity. I plan to use the Parkville Market for my monthly luncheon trips this year. Today there were 8 of us. A few had Lobster Rolls from Crab Shack, but others reached out to ¡Que Chivo!, Hartford Poke Company and Burrito Loko. I ordered a Twisted Meatball and Garlic Knot from Twisted Italian and a Canoa and Papas Rellonos from Mofongo. I was the winner! What a double delight.
Another excuse to eat at Parkville Market was my sister-in-law's 80th birthday. That was only my second visit and there will be many more. Going to put this site on my monthly Thomas' Tours for CLoC where I live...this will be part of my 'Lunch on/off Park series.
Anyway they enjoyed their meals at the Jerk Shack with one order of Jerk Chicken and one of Curry Goat. They sure enjoyed it all and my brother-in-law got a half grinder at The Twisted Italian to take home.
My meal was from !Que Chivo with Salvadorian food now on my radar after the great pupusas last month in Morán in Manchester. Here I got the daily special lunch and the special dessert. Both were winners: Carne Asado plate with Casamiento [rice and beans] and Chicharon was especially good. The meat was tender and the chicharon crunchy. Loved the dessert of a Tamilto sweet and tasty with super Crema Fresca. A lime Jarritos soda helped everything along.
