Dropping off my two Florida sisters for their flight back home from BDL, we stopped at Bear's for some good bbq. The very nice staff helped us manage our way through the labyrinth of meal choices. I was ready for the Burnt Ends but they weren't ready yet. The gave me a purple flag for my tray with a sign with those words on it. I did eventually get them and the wait was definitely worth it! I think the word is 'succulent'. The two choices for my meal were the collard greens [okay but not super] and the baked beans which were amazing. The added Hosmer White Birch Beer added to the meal and to memories of my childhood. Definitely a successful send off to the sibs and a great meal for me.
