Tried the Hartford Restaurant Week at MAX Downtown for dinner Saturday after a wonderful performance of 'A Doll's House, Part Two'. This was a very successful meal.
I started with the Peppered Bacon with Brussels Sprouts and it was a plate of joy! The slab of bacon was luscious with its peppery glaze. For entrée I chose the Prime Rib over the Pork Chop. It was beautifully prepared medium rare with a few fingerling potatoes in a creamy sauce. Wonderful. Dessert was taken home as we were terribly full [a Negroni in the bar and a nice pour of Bordeaux Superiere]. This Chocolate Decadence will last for three small, simple and rich desserts in the days to come. Best Taste of Hartford menu yet, anywhere.
