Was craving a real burger today so indulged at Bobby's Burger Palace at Mohegan Sun Casino. And this was the right decision so said my companion at her first visit here. I had the LA Burger with Avocado relish, watercress, cheddar cheese and tomato. Also ordered the Undecided: half buttermilk onion rings with Ranch dipping sauce and half sweet potato fries with honey mustard-horseradish sauce. We split a Blue Moon beer with requisite orange slices.

Thanks to a Gift Card well overdue for using from my favorite dining couple, I went to Bobby's for lunch with one of my other favorite dining couples [I have several sets of emergency eating companions]. The burger of the month was a Brunch Burger with American cheese, smoked bacon and a sunny side up egg. Sounds messy and it was [almost knife and fork] but so delicious with the burger medium rare and the egg runny. The other entrées were a Bobby Blue and a Griddled Cheese Deluxe which I had intended to order but...

Visited Bobby's again with two friends/relatives and had a good feast. A Classic Burger, an LA Burger and my Napa Burger [$7.75] ordered medium rare with Goat Cheese and Watercress. Also had an order of regular fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings [$3.00 each]. The place was very crowded but service was great. A delicious [but calorie-laden] time was had by all.

Bobby Flay's Bar Americain does not serve lunch so we ambled down to Bobby's Burger Palace. It is Restaurant Week at Mohegan Sun Casino so most places have a special offer; here it is 20% off the bill. It cost only $22.12 for this great meal.
We ordered a Bobby Blue [$7.75] medium rare, hold the bacon [sacrilege], an order of Sweet Potato Fries [$3], a Chocolate Milkshake [$5] and my Griddled Deluxe Cheese Sandwich [$7.50] and an Iced Tea [$2.75]. And guess what number came up for the table: 75! Celebrating my 75th birthday this week!
The Blue Burger was great and came exactly as ordered. The dark chocolate shake was so thick, I don't even want to think about it but can still taste the little bit I begged for. The fries are the best ever, repeat ever, ever. How I have lived without them is a mystery. My griddled cheese [american, brie and goat cheese] came with bacon and tomato. It is the best sandwich to have if not having a hamburger. What a meal!
blognote: Wheel of Fortune was not good to me. So I now have an attitude but will still visit the casino for the FOOD.
