Ate here at Gilbertie's Place last night, three of us, and had a good meal. Started with two apps: Spicy Calamari [special of the night $8] and Little Neck Clams [$12]. Both apps were delicious; the calamari huge, fresh, spicy and plentiful and the little necks were tender in a nice broth with spinach.
The stuffed Shrimp and Sole plate [$19] was huge with lots of stuffing. The New York Steak [$25] covered with gorgonzola cheese and mushrooms and mashed potatoes/vegetables was well appreciated. My steak special [$27] was a New York Strip and Crab Cake Combo. The crab cake was excellent and the remoulade sauce was perfect. The steak ordered medium rare came medium. It lost a lot of its flavor from the flaw. The Spinach Risotto was very good.
